Would you mind weighing one of your wheels if you already have it off???

Shit yeah, I already planned on doing it. I will share.

But they look so damned good! Not everything needs to have a practical application. The weight difference would be virtually nothing and wouldn't matter on a street car anyway.

Spending thousands of dollars to look fast seems kind of silly to me, but it's not my car.

An aftermarket kit would perform just as well and weigh less than the OEM set up.

The PP is a great value, but buying the parts separately will negate the benefits fast when it comes to cost/performance ratio. Unless you find a great deal on the classifieds.

Oh for sure! Buying the parts separately is just silly. The 5 or 6 pounds saved mean nothing unless part of an overall weight saving plan.

From another thread...

In summary, with our Sprint Kit you're going to be carrying 15 unsprung lbs. less per side, or 30 lbs. less on the nose of your car. Twenty pounds of that mass savings will be in the rotating mass of the discs.

I presume that is a kit that reduces from the stock so not a real comparison of stock vs BBK. Still say that for most the weight is meaningless anyway. Not everybody is trying to trim every ounce off that they can.

[QUOTE=brzaapi;2841985]Car was picked up Friday. I am amazed how smooth the ride is compared to my previous BRZs. I only have 55 miles on it, i have spend more time inspecting and working on the car than driving it. So, far I have added:

Raceseng Shift Knob (came from my previous BRZ)
Installed power cable for Radar Det. (interior panels come off easy as ever)
Installed Hood Dampers (a must for anyone who wrenches on their own car)
Installed OEM JDM Center Arm Rest (this should standard on all BRZs :))

But, you can tell that the car is sorted just a little better. I think Subaru did a good job with the recipe. Its still soup, but just a little richer in a flavor than it was.

I can't reference 17 vs 17 PP, but the Sachs dampers ride noticeably smoother than the stock suspension of the 13,14 and 15 MY. I have never been in a 16, but i assume its the same as the previous. I am quite happy with the car, enjoying it more than expected. Since it was my 4th one, the wow factor wasnt expected. But it feels just a little better in every way. No i do not notice the 5hp, yes i do feel the rear end difference when taking off in 1st and 2nd. In 3rd thru 6th...it feels like the 13 - 16 cars. No difference noticed as of yer. And, once you take off in the low gears after the initial tip-in and acceleration....it feels like the 13 - 16. Brakes are still improving from being driven and bedded. Each drive they get more grab, but nothing to report on those yet.

A few pics, notice i already have the dampers installed.

Haha, uh..

Well...

The car itself? :D That works, right?

Seriously though, probably nothing big right away. I don't really have that much money at the moment outside of whatever I saved for the car's downpayment :P

I am thinking of getting a slight tint, maybe changing out the mirrors to the rexpeed or whatever concave ones (but not entirely sure if it'll be necessary yet).

Minor "mod" is swapping out the rear chrome BRZ emblem for a matte black one, or plasti-dipping the original, whichever is easier.

I guess in the future I also want to get black side skirts and a front spoiler as well, but that's a ways off.

I'd recommend plastidip, it's easier than pulling off the badges and putting different ones on and keeping them aligned

I got my front lip yesterday and I love it

I am ready to sell my OEM wheels off of my 17 PP BRZ. If you or anyone else is interested let me know. I will be getting pics and posting them in the classifieds on Friday. I will prepare them and ship them at my expense. It takes me about an hour to hour and half for me to make the cutouts and band each rim/tire. But this is the best way to ship them. And I will ship (at my expense) UPS Ground to anywhere in the lower 48 states.

Anyways, its not official yet....but these wheels/tires are for sale. Let me know if you have any interest. Price? dont know. But i think $500 is quite fair considering that shipping will likely run me $100.00.

Sorry, new to this forum, so don't know how to PM yet. $500 seems more than fair. Any damage to the wheeles or tires, and do they come with the TPMS? I will defiantly take them if they are clean! Thanks

They are clean, and as of right now already spoken for. But, if the deal falls thru I will give you first right of refusal. Sorry about that.

A lot of interest came fast since I am kind of dumping them on the market.

But i need more rubber. I am one of those guys. :burnrubber:

Yeah I'll probably try plastidip first and if it doesn't work well then I'll just replace the badge.

Do you have any more closer-up pics of the front lip? I saw your one picture and it looked alright but not quite what I'm thinking of.

Depending on how it is I might just go aftermarket for it. (still a super long ways off from that though)
