My son's allocation (derekbrz24) was 201701 and mine is 201703. Car comes in from the Brunswick Ga. port. Derek's car was a week early. We are only about 4 hours from the port.

Haha I've got my girlfriend meeting me tomorrow so we can play the first song together. Until then, I'll be listening to the sweet, sultry, beautiful sounds of the engine+perrin exhaust

got the evidence from my dealer

my dealer emailed me the proof- still stuck in a different state for work and won't be able to pick it up for three weeks...but as least I have seen it now! Notice the black wheels......

Sure, it's a guess.

While small sample size I'd say my order status changing last week at least personally confirms my theory.

My order info before was April and the number was 201704, and then when I got the update that it had been moved to March the number had also changed to 201703. I'm a CS guy so I'm more likely to find non-patterns in random strings of numbers or letters though lol.

But at least from my perspective that theory seems to match up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Tcoat 01-27-2017 03:29 PM

OH that helps set the pattern! I am a believer now.

I don't think the allocation number corresponds to dealer or location. On my status I got an additional code for its current location. Like the status info says: "Current Location: 200003" which I'm guessing is some factory because mine likely hasn't been built yet.

I did say it's just a guess based on my perspective.

As long as none of us are making claims that "ZOMG THIS IS EXACTLY HOW IT WORKS OK?!?!" then theories are fine.

I remember even signing up to the forums that you've been suggesting your car was some sort of 'phantom black zone' and it's been hilarious (at your expense) to see you anticipate and wait not-so-patiently. But you're likely right, and we're in this same 'waiting game' boat together.

Seriously though, these boards have been super friendly and super informative so Thank You for that!

I haven't really been waiting "not-so-patiently". I'm mostly just curious and excited about it. I also only mentioned phantom zone like one time, yesterday I think, and it was a joke.

It's actually not too big a deal considering I've been waiting to have a car for 5 years now so a couple more months isn't anything.

LOL That was sincere not sarcasm. It fits the theory if the number changed to the same month the expected delivery did.

Yeah, I can PM you redacted copy/pastes of both status pages I got from my sales guy if you want. Just let me know.

Nah don't need that. Still a small sample size but the changed number and date makes a big difference in the data.
