That would be nice since I live in Jacksonville and am awaiting mine.

But I thought they all came from Cali and then truck or train from there?

Subaru has port facilities at Richmond Ca, Vancouver Wa and Baltimore. They do not show as having a port facility at Jacksonville.

Thanks I didn't know that. I assumed they used Jacksonville like Mazda does. According to my dealer the SE is served by the port in Brunswick Ga.

This seems to confirm it.

Perfect! Thanks. That one was not on the lists I found before.

Sounds like the delivery times (for PP at least) are still very wishy-washy.

Yesterday I ordered with PP and the sales guy told me it could be 12-16 weeks from now (though he was saying that even if I were to order without PP :iono: ). Other dealers' salesmen were giving me ranges (at least without PP) of at 30-60 days. Silly me thought I'd be able to get mine by the end of Jan. at the very least. Oh well.

Could be I'm just at the top of the queue now since I ordered so much later than most of you, and so now I'll have a much longer wait. Guess we'll see.

My salesman did tell me he should have the VIN roughly 30 days before delivery, and that'd be when we could deal with the finance office and stuff (I already have a final price contract/agreement) to figure out financing rate/term.

Just an update, my dealer said my BRZ will not be delivered in December.

I told my dealer not to deliver my BRZ until March 2017, I could otherwise imagine the dealer calling me in January with a foot of snow on the ground.
I would rather not take that delivery.

Is it possible to "order" the Series.Yellow version? I'd love to get my hands on one.

They are supposed to be available at the very ambiguous date of "2017". Whether that is January or October they do not say. Since there are only going to be 500 of them I would talk to a dealer soon if you want to get an order in. They may not take the order yet but you can at least get info since with that few you will need to be quick.

Dealer called me to update. He previously said 6 weeks, which would be mid December (I ordered first week of November), but is now saying it could be until March 2017 for arrival. I was a bit skeptical about a December arrival (Non-PP, CWP Limited), but didn't think it would jump all the way to March. He also said March would just be the latest, it will probably/hopefully come in much sooner.

I'm surprised its that late for a non-PP model. Especially for when you got your order in. Have you called SoA to see what they say directly?

I wonder if production is slowing down more or there's more demand than anticipated.

When I went to order non-PP last weekend I was also told it could be 8-12 weeks.

Ended up going with PP partially because the guy said it would take about as long.

Here is some details I can share:
  • I ordered my 2017 BRZ Limited (Automatic no PP) on October 8
  • I was told at that time that my car would be delivered sometime in December
  • I called SOA last Monday (November 21) and they had no VIN assigned nor did they have an official delivery date, but they said that it was still scheduled to be delivered sometime in December
  • I called SOA yesterday (November 30) and was given the VIN along with the official delivery date of December 12
Assuming that their system updates statuses (VIN assignments) on a frequent schedule, and assuming that the delivery date is accurate, it could be said that in my case, the longest amount of time possible from VIN assignment to delivery would be 20 days. I understand that that contradicts what @Tcoat has stated with regards to minimum times between VIN creation and delivery, but if the aforementioned assumptions are correct, that's how the math works out.

It is also possible that it could be a shorter window than 20 days, but that seems like a stretch. All I know is what I have stated above. Take it for what you will.

How can I call SOA? What info do I need to provide? Just my Sale order number?
