Detroit Area 2016/2017 Owners
 

HKS is looking for an owner of a 2016 with ECU ID = ZA1JF40C or an owner of a 2017 model.

We are interested in reading your ECU to update our Flash Editor software for the newer vehicles. If you have a 2016 or 2017 model and live in the Detroit area, please let me know. It'll only take about 5 minutes for us to scan your ECU and collect the information we need. We'll even give you some free HKS swag for helping us out.

For you guys that have 2016 models, not all 2016's will have the ECU ID we're looking for, so we need to read it first with an OBDII scanner to see if it's one of the ones we don't have. If it's one of the ones we're looking for, we'll have you come back after I get the equipment to do a full scan on your ECU.

If you have access to an OBDII reader, you should be able to find your ECU ID without having to stop by. However, if you want me to read it, feel free to come by during normal business hours and I can do a quick read for you to see what ECU you have.

Oh, and please make sure your car is a manual transmission before planning to stop by. If you have an automatic, you won't have the ECU we're looking for.

Ok guys, we've found a 2016 with that ECU ID, so thanks for the help!

We still need a 2017, but we may be able to just borrow a new one from a Toyota lot for 10 minutes if we can't find an owner with one.
