Front Pipe Sound Clip WTF!!

Installed a catless front pipe on my BRZ yesterday and it sounded good with this cheap aftermarket axleback I had but it was rattling so I installed the stock muffler.

CNT uel headers and ebay front pipe

I just wanted to share how it sounds for others.

I think it sounds TERRIBLE. Changing this setup ASAP.

Thoughts?

Picking up a Borla axleback Sunday.

What do you guys think I should run?

Stock header - catless front pipe - Borla axleback or

UEL header - stock front pipe - Borla axleback or

If my cat could made that grudge sound from the ring, it would sound like that. Did everything bolt up right? I'd be pretty sad.

Like apexi's seals on rotary engine...

Yeah everything bolted up perfectly. The headers have been on the car for a while and sound good.

The front pipe was like $75 so I'm not too bummed about the situation.

This is completely normal with the stock exhaust or any baffle-type aftermarket exhaust.

It's a function of your lack of resonators on your exhaust system.

Yea put the stock front pipe back on or go with better quality one with a cat or resonator.

As far as front pipes go, I have the Invidia catless front pipe and I love it. Paired to my N1 is sounded better. I eventually went w/ the 1320 Perf. UEL and overpipe and it sounds awesome. I'm guessing based on the other guys, you may be able to rid the noise w/ a catback.

My ears are bleeding. I'd give the Borla axleback a chance with the catless front pipe and go from there.

...At least it was cheap if it still blows.
