ISO sound clip - only front pipe

Been having a hard time finding a clip of an 86 with ONLY an aftermarket front pipe installed.

UEL headers would be fine also but I'm looking for a car with the stock muffler system and a CATLESS - UNRESONATED front pipe.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks fellas

Youtube. I found tons of exhaust vids with different combos. Get your search on.

Why would you want to have a stock exhaust, with just an aftermarket FP? Almost zero power gain from it. I would recommend, for a bit more money, to get a UEL header and leave the rest of the exhaust stock. You will see a nice power bump and it will sound 'better'. Throw on a tune and its a totally different car.

Headers are a big help, but i swapped only my over and front pipe to Invidia's straight 2.5", left the rest of the exhaust stock, and it helps in the lower range enough to be noticeable and for me to change my launch. My favorite bit is the sound, i wanted more, but not a fart can like most of the people are putting on theirs.

Ahh, the unreliable butt dyno.

Replacing these parts measures change within margin of error on actual dynos -- they do not have enough of an effect to be noticeable.

I would say the same, but i had to change how i launch my car, which is different than just giving the car gas. Doubtful it's the size of the tubing, but rather the cat delete that helped. And it's mainly low end i notice it. Only knocked a tenth of a second off at the local drags though.

You'll get more power from the front pipe than a cat-back...

OP, not a catless front pipe, but the start of this video has clips of my car with a 2.5" Perrin catted front pipe and stock cat back, then the rest is with the 2.5" Perrin resonated cat back.

I never got around to testing a car with a non-resonated, no-cat front pipe, but you can imagine it to be louder than this.

A word of warning: you'll have more rasp out of the stock exhaust if you only replace the front pipe. Baffle-type muffler designs don't like certain exhaust frequencies that show up when you remove resonators in the system.
