FiveAxis

So I purchased an Argento spoiler from FiveAxis the day the advertised it was available for purchase. This was 2 weeks ago. People with other colors are getting their spoilers and I'm still without ANY ETA or status update from them. As good as this spoiler looks, FiveAxis fucking sucks. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever had.

They'll likely blame the third party I purchased with but FiveAxis ships them themselves directly to me! So uh... yeah, this is entirely in your court FiveAxis. I currently cannot recommend your parts to anyone else with an FRS. This is utter bullshit that I've been without cash for 2 weeks with no ETA from you at all.

I should have just shelled out the extra cash for the TRD spoiler since it would have BEEN HERE by now, and on my god damn car by now. I would have had a status update, an ETA. None of this "left in the dark" bullshit I'm dealing with now.

Better luck next time FiveAxis. You're blacklisted at this point.

Just talked to Five Axis about my spoiler. The Argento color is the last color they are dialing in then painting. So the reality should have been . . . "get your order in for the group buy spoiler price, but delivery will be by color. Color order TBD by vendor." That would have been a better gauge for those who wanted to wait and get the lower price or pay more and get something different sooner.

I agree that more communication would have made this transaction a lot smoother, but at least I know not to keeping looking for a package at my front door. The Argento spoilers should be painted and shipped out within 2 weeks. Verbatim from Young at 5AD. I know this doesn't help the situation, but I think all Argento spoiler purchasers should know it is the last color they are matching and will be coming in a couple of weeks. I contemplated cancelling my order and getting a TRD, but at this point I can wait a couple more weeks.

Talked to Blake this morning. It looks like FiveAD is only spraying in batches so a legit customer is left waiting for them to decide when to paint and ship the product they advertised as being shipped in 1-2 weeks instead of pre-spraying and having some ready to go.

I wouldn't buy from them again at this rate. That's just poor service. I paid for a color matched spoiler, was quoted a date, and they dropped the ball big time. They obviously don't understand customer service. If you don't have certain colors ready, don't advertise them as ready.

Yeah I heard the same thing. That's just bad business.

Major failure.

All you have to do is call me and I can credit your card back until the spoiler ships. If you are in need of the cash just let me know. I'm here for the customer 100%

Nah I like you want you to make money, I'm just unhappy with them. I give you good reviews all over the place.

Lol.. sorry, I feel for you, but thinking you can get a TRD spoiler from Japan in two weeks is ridiculous. I understand your frustration about communication, there's no excuse for that. But the wait time for a car this new, is pretty normal. I work with a lot of JDM companies and unless someone has the TRD spoiler in stock / en route, it'll take you AT LEAST 4-6 weeks to get it via air freight.

denkigrve 07-24-2012 12:12 PM

It's been a month. STILL waiting with zero updates. FiveAxis is seriously got their priorities mixed up. It's almost time to ask for a refund they obviously don't want my business.

In response to this. My Coilovers were shipped to me FROM JAPAN and were at my desk at work within 7 days. So not so sure your shipping times are quite correct for everything.

LOL... 7 days? what company so I can start ordering from them. Having them in stock is different than having it made and sent over seas, and also, it's kind of too early to expect companies to have anything made for our cars, even if it's Five Axis. Again, I'm not saying you deserve this at all, you don't and it sucks. I hope you get your money back.. or better yet, your part! However, if you change your mind and want something else... please let us know. Troy is a great guy though and on top of his stuff, just try to give them a call again.

The problem isn't that the parts weren't available, it's that they sat on the D6S color matching for over a month after they advertised the spoilers as being available, even pre-painted ones. Communication of the expected wait at the get-go would have been nice, or what a smart company would have done is to make batches of ALL colors and have them ready to go. The demand for this spoiler is through the roof.

The parts I ordered were the RSR iSport coilovers. I worked directly with RSR. Not even as easy to ship as the spoiler is. Weighs more. Still shipped faster and with clear communication and expectations. The TRD wings are available in Japan, you just need to order one from someone that ships like RSR does, and it can be in your hands and on your car.

Overall FiveAD wasn't ready to launch what they were advertising as available, and should have placed a disclaimer up or been very clear with their resellers and customers.

Awesome to hear that about RSR, because we are going to be working with them very soon, and I'm going to put their coilovers on my personal FR-S!

Of course I agree with you whole-heartedly about communication being key with any one. We are told at Bulletproof to treat everyone with the same respect even if there is no "sale". We are all car guys, so we love hearing about builds and try to offer our help / services.

However, dealing with a lot of rushed orders myself. Even a great company like RSR doesn't have the capacity to send something from Japan in 7 days. I would love to imagine so, but we actually pay extra to have the fastest shipping services possible out of all the companies in the U.S. and 7 days to ship and clear customs is just impossible. Another however here haha, with RSR having a U.S. base location as well... they are able to freely stock items and ship from there.

Any legit retailers, us included, must have the product shipped from Japan, clear customs, arrive at OUR warehouse, checked for damage, inventory must be done and then the part needs to be shipped to the customer. That is all without a "hitch".

I hope this doesn't come off as too off topic... :threadjacked: just wanted to write a post like this for all the customers who sometimes hear false deadlines / promises for products that are definitely not in stock here in the U.S., and claims that they will get here in a few days (or even weeks). It can't happen with a lot of parts because JDM companies rarely have a bunch of product sitting around (basically made to order) and shipping to U.S., even via air freight is not as fast as we'd like, nor guaranteed by any means.

At Bulletproof, we always under-promise, over-deliver. That's our motto. You will never wait longer than we said you would.

BPAuto 07-25-2012 01:13 PM

p.s., feel free to give us a call. I have some contacts at FiveAxis and maybe we can help you get this situation taken care of. If you decide you want something else also, we can take care of you as well.
