New ProTEKt skidplate kit for the Scion FRS RS1

Hey guys, I would like to introduce you to our latest application, the Scion FRS RS1 skidplate kit.

I know that the RS1 lip kit is very low, and also super expensive, so it seems like a natural for our product. just like all of our kits, the RS1 kit is CNC machined from super low friction, high wear resistance High Density Polyethylene plastic, and includes all the necessary hardware to mount it up. I've sold a few already, and so far everyone is pretty pumped about the fit.

Anyways, here are some picks for you to check out, and as always feedback is welcomed.

thanks.

Nice. Are you able to make custom versions? I have a Nur spec front coming that I'd love to protect.

Super happy with my protekt plates! Scraped them like crazy and didn't even have to worry about my lip. Definitely worth the price.

I lent my car to Mitch to make the prototype of this kit and even at that stage it was high quality. It saved me from many situations that could've caused big damage to my lip. It also improves the sturdiness of the RS1 lip as well which was a big deal. Very well made product and great customer service from Mitch.

Hopefully he can help me work his magic with my new setup soon ;)

Thanks for the props, guys.

When you spend this much time and effort on something, it is pretty rewarding when folks go out of their way to say they like it.

After a few weeks of constant beating and nasty driveways it seems like the skid plates itself didn't take any damage..the quality of the plastic used is like no other. I think this will protect my lip for eternity.

I don't think I'll ever run out of this lol.

Thanks.

Yea the material is super specific. we did a bunch of testing to figure out what the best stuff is to make them out of, and we ended up going with High Density Polyethylene.

It is a lot more expensive than some of our other options, but we use it for 2 reasons.

1. It is super slippery, and slides with less effort than anything else we tried, which reduces the force trying to pull the bumper off the car during the scrape.

2. It's wear properties are amazing. I don't think that you could wear a set out, even after years of use. (I've never had anyone ask for a replacement yet, and some of them have been out there for 3 years or so)

make any for an aimgain front bumper?

mitch t 01-07-2017 02:32 PM

I don't have any specifically for the Aimgain bumper, but it looks like the regular FRS parts might be a good fit.

Anybody with an Aimgain lip in the Los Angeles area, so I can get a look at it?

Thanks!

You will likely never wear them out. we make them out of High Density Polyethelene, which is $pendy but has great wear characteristics.

Also, we will be rolling out a lifetime warranty on all skidplates in the next few weeks, that will apply to any past customers as well. You will never need to buy a replacement, as long as you own your car.

Just to make sure...Does it require drilling? Or it uses existing holes?

Yup, drilling is required for the RS1.

The lip kit doesn't have any holes in it for me to use.

How will these fit the JDM TRD lip?
And how is the Shipping to Norway? :p

I haven't had one of the JDM lips here in he shop, so I can't say for sure, but it does look really close, and the plates are pretty easy to modify using a bandsaw and a sander.

Might be able to work out something on shipping as I work on Freddy Aasbų 's US drift car, and i know he goes back and forth pretty often.

Okay, I don't live that far from Aasbų here in Norway actually :)

But thanks for the info, gonna put this on the list over future parts to buy :D
