Seibon 10mm Wide Fenders
 

Installed Seibon 10mm wide fenders today.

I messed up the stock fenders pretty bad through the course of the year. Both sides were visibly deformed and one had stripped paint that I had to plastidip over to try and make it less visible. I'm not anal about small cosmetic damages here and there, but the fenders always bothered me.

Managed to get both of these for 700 cad + my oem fenders. He has plans ahead that may involve cutting up fenders so it was a perfect deal. The seller had them plasti-dipped over when he had it on, so the carbon fiber surface is seeing light basically for the first time with me.

Fitment wise, I wasn't too impressed. First off I was already pissed off because I rounded a bolt that held the stock fender to the pinch weld and had trouble getting it off for two separate days. It was the last bolt that had to be removed.
The driver's side fenders fit pretty flush. Not 100% as OEM I would say, but that is pretty much what you're expecting with aftermarket body PANELS.

The passenger side's fender is not flush at all. There's a noticeable gap than between the fenders and the hood (would say 2mm wider than stock). Doesn't look too flush between the door and the fender. The reason for this fitment issue is because it has these hinges that touch the chassis for support, but it seems one of them is protruding too much to produce this effect. Tried sanding it down but damn these things aren't soft. I gave up after 2 days and just bolted everything down.

From what I've noticed it looks fine in the pictures. But unless you closely inspect my car, the 90% fitment isn't noticeable. If I were to fix the stock fenders (probably had to replace and repaint both) it would have surely cost over what I paid for these. No install fee too so overall I saved money and now have a carbon fibre body part on my car :bow: Love the vents too :D

This works out great because in the future when I get wheels & tires, I won't have to worry about rubbing in the front no more.

are the vents functional?

i was thinking of these or the ings fenders. but based on your review, i'm probably gonna go with the ings.

only functional if the fender liner is modified or removed.
