Toyota increase prices across the board
http://www.autoblog.com/2011/04/03/t...cion-and-lexu/
Hopefully this does affect the price goal of the ft86 tho seeing as how Scion and Lexus got upped I dont see how it cant be bad news |
An extra $500-600 bones isn't going to scare me off if Toyota nails everything else that we are hoping for.

quick econ lesson for everybody.
There is a demand for Toyotas, however currently supply is becoming limited so when Supply low and Demand stable/same = higher price. When Supply goes back to previous levels toyota will cut the prices back down. The FT-86 is going to be a 2012 model so most likely no effect to it |

"The only Toyota products that won't see a price hike are the Tacoma light pickup, the Yaris sedan, the Scion tC and xB, the Lexus CT200h Hybrid, and the Lexus LFA."
I wonder why only certain models increased? Was this due to the Tsunami? I do remember a slight price increase on the Tacoma from 2005 to the 2008 model because of the blacked out headlights and LED taillights. |
Not sure but I don't think they can ask anymore on the LFA haha

but there no way they can charge any more for it I mean it is like 400K+ already |
All 500 LFA's have been sold already, so that piece of information is redundant lol.
and yes they take a loss on each car, R&D was a lot for this considering they put a lot of money into carbon fiber research among other things. The goal of the LFA was longterm - flagship, bragging rights, advertisement, the rest will trickle down into Lexus cars. |
