Love Injen's quality. I am however a part of the concerned few that noticed the loss of gains in the lower rpm range. I'm hoping that with a good header and exhaust pairing that this will be remedied and actually prove to be better with gains in the long run. Top end looks great.
Question to @Symbiont. Is Injen planning on making a shroud for where the filter box ends and the oem "cai" bumper piping begins? To me it just seems like that should connect and allow for "better"/colder flow. Im no engineer, just wondering more than anything. |

Understandably creating a complete CAI system would probably provide better gains, but why not create a potentially cheaper alternative. |

I can say that one of the really interesting things about this engine is that it actually seems to like hot air, per all the testing that has been done so far. All the CAIs are dumping even more power at the low end, from what I've seen (and heard from testing). One of the things I do know is that they are extremely passionate about a well-rounded good-looking piece of equipment, so I expect that they will do what they can to make sure it looks good in the engine bay and functions as effectively as it possibly can. It would be interesting, however... I think that it would just require a small change to the heat shield, which could be done at any time. Don't quote me on that, however, please! |
One thing I am going to try to do is provide dyno data with the full setup going. Testing really isn't in my control, so I don't know if they are going to dyno the intake and exhaust separately, although I don't see why they wouldn't.

From what I've seen, you can actually do a 'intake tube' delete without removing the bumper, if you choose to do so. It can be pulled straight into the engine bay for removal if you are careful. |

The quality is horrible. I have a much longer raw clip that I'm working on trimming, but it was recorded with a GoPro inside of its little plastic case, so... don't expect too much. I don't have any nice recording equipment, unfortunately. I'll do what I can once everything is finished. :( I know it doesn't show heavy acceleration, but I wanted to get something up there as soon as I could. |
