By the way, I just checked their facebook page, and they are saying that the intake is ready for order.

I honestly don't know the price yet, but I'd suggest emailing info@injen.com and inquiring about P/N:SP1230 (pulled from their FB page). Hopefully they can steer you in the right direction. :)

So far this is the only place Ive found it for sale:

The peak HP numbers on the intake seem good, but the HP is basically only increased from about 6000rpm to 6950 RPM and seems to have a bit les HP everywhere else in the RPM range. not so good IMO. The car might even be slower as a result.

Anyone have any further input on this?

I thought the same thing. Look at the torque loss in the middle of the torque dip on the third gear dyno pull. Im looking to improve the torque dip, not lose more... A lot of aftermarket intakes seem to be losing power and tq on the low end. All are gaining some top end however, but its minimal. Still waiting to see results with tuning...

I gotta ask. I'm not an expert and I've actually yet to have a car dyno'd but from all my forum research I've been under the impression that dyno pulls should be be done in the gear closest to a 1.000 gear ratio. I'm not sure what the reason is for this exactly.

In your 6MT 5th gear is 1.000.

Did they dyno with the Hood up? Seen a pic where it looked like they were
If so thumbs down cuz I don't normally drive with my Hood up lol

It is all inclusive, yes.

I will ask, I have seen the same things. :)

Honestly, you may lose ~1 HP down low, but the throttle response makes up for it, in my opinion. You are correct in that there is no intake-alone solution that has shown gains below 3500.

That being said, the HP is staying about the same all the way until it starts making gains up high.

I think these cars are going to need a mix of exhaust, intake, and tune to really end up the way we want them to be.

I'm not sure, but I've seen a lot of people do that, so /shrug

Getting any gains at all from intakes on these cars is going to be minimal, I think.

I know a few other companies have been working on it for awhile, and I haven't seen anything that 'wows' me (in terms of power, at least). I will say that the sound of the engine is much improved, in my opinion. :)

I am planning on buying a video camera just to try to record these things and post it up!

Okay, my head is spinning right now, but I just read through this thread full of people far more knowledgeable than I (including a quote from Jeff from Perrin):

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1478091

I don't know if there is really any agreement on the matter, but I would imagine cooling would be an issue on longer sustained pulls, as the dyno room they are using is averaging around 100 degrees F. Honestly, it's all supposition to me, and the actual numbers really don't end up mattering to me (yeah, I'm weird).

At the end of the day, my butt dyno is happy with the intake over stock, and that's what I guess I'm looking for. :D
