Seat bolster modification

I was wondering if anyone has modified there bolsters. I'm a bit bigger in the rib section and wonder if there was a seat mod. or should I just loose 20 lbs or go to an auto upholstery shop.

if you lose 20lbs, effectively so does the car when your in it. Sounds like a win win to me.

Someone mentioned doing it already, they had a shop add or remove foam, can't remember which. Taking foam away means they'd have to modify the fabric because otherwise you'll have seat-cellulite, lol

Give it some time before you make any changes. I am pretty wide. The seats felt uncomfortable at first - but now they feel great. You may find that you really like them after a while.

Lose the 20lbs, you'll live longer thus you'll get to enjoy your car longer.

Or go aftermarket if you have disposable income

I don't know if losing 20 lbs will fix my rib cage. Also if I lose 20 more pounds I'll look very skinny. I'm 6' and weigh 205, I'll look like a skeleton with clothes on. I think I'll give it a bit more time to break in as suggested.

Same on this end. The only positive to our frame size is that we don't have to worry about back sweat from the seats, since my back doesn't even touch lol. maybe sell the seats online and put it toward new ones that fit better. An upholster sounds like an expensive option for seats that are made with just average materials. jmho

Lose 20 lbs! Your significant other will like it, your mother, your dog, your friends, your car, your wallet, your doctor, etc ... :)
