2016 BRZ Options??

Hey all, recently I've been looking into getting a new 2016 BRZ but i'm not sure on what options i should get is the S pack worth it or should i just save my money and not worry about it. Here is a print screen of what i'm looking at getting on the BRZ (http://prntscr.com/cmw8yt). Now another thing is i wont be making the purchase until late October so is it worth just waiting for the 2017 model to come out or not. I'm not 100% sure when the 2017 Brz is being released in Australia so if anyone else knows that would be great.

November release date for oz

Awesome thanks heaps. Might just wait for that to come out then, have they released a price on one yet or not?

Boomerang 09-27-2016 07:57 AM

No price released yet but I imagine it wouldn't be cheaper than the current 2016 $38K price...

Thats 20% of vehicle value. :)

Wait for '17 model and buy a performance pack. Personally I would keep the vehicle as is and purchase better tires after you have burnt through the first set.

Yeah definitely sounds like a plan to me. What about an exhaust on the brz i want something that gives it the Boxer rumble well some of it anyways, I was looking at the Invidia N1 SS & Catless Front pipe but not sure if there is any other ones that might be better.

Boxer Rumble = UEL

There are many out there, I have a Borla UEL which sounds good, somewhere in between a boxer rumble and normal 86 sound.

Do some searching and research first.

Keep in mind mods will affect your warranty if you are buying new...

Just want to make sure you know what he means by UEL. UEL aren't a type of exhaust. Those are a type of header. Pretty sure you are fine but check your local smog laws and see if this is ok for you to do.

As for Exhaust i don't recommend the N1. Everyone gets it because of its low base note and its cheap but it drones constantly and the tone doesn't get better over time IMO.

I prefer the Perrin, WORKS ABM, FT86 Speedfactory or Nvidia Q300 for exhausts.

But yeah as per your original post. Don't do the S package. You can get effectively all the same upgrades aftermarket for about 3k-4k including new tires.

Personally i'd wait till the 2017 is released and then buy a 2016. The prices gets knocked down a few thousand usually and you can use the money you save on mods.

Yeah knew about it being a header have been looking into a few but thanks anyways. i have heard about the N1 being quiet droney but i was going for the note like most other people i guess. I might take a look at some of the others you recommended and see what i think, The ones you said though do they still give you the Boxer rumble if you have the UEL header.

Yeah i'm definitely not going to go with the S package anymore after seeing aftermarket ones cheaper. Thanks for your help
