Door seal and window alignment

Has anyone done this on their own? Im out of warranty now and my window definitley needs to be adjusted and or i need new upper door seal.

I apologize. I type window seal into search. Even advanced search. No threads come up with even 'window' in their title. I know there must be a bunch of threads on this topic but the search has never worked for me on this forum. Kinda frustrating.

I also have two clear vertical lines on my door windows when i wash car. Im assuming its grease from the tracks. Good squeek when windows wet and goes up or down.

I might just resort to putting a piece of small hose or wire in behind the seal to make it more rigid where its folding over. But i feel that will cause more
Problems.

You may have better luck searching "door seal".

I get the same thing (Seal punches up, squeaky windows). I usually just need to wipe down the seal as it gets dirty.

This type of product may also help: http://www.autogeek.net/1z-einszett-...are-stick.html

The streaks you see on the door are actually from some felt guides in the door. Your Window is probably slightly etched in those places (I have the same issue). Keep your windows clean or make sure they are clean(er) when you roll your window down. The felt pads will trap some dirt and be abrasive against the glass.

A friend and I just talked about the windows in the BRZ/FRS (He is a Toyota mechanic) and he said there are some special tools to align the window and make sure the senors are all correctly positioned. He said their dealership doesn't even have those tools.

As for searching these forums, I found google much better. just type site:www.ft86club.com in the search field and it will return only results from this website.

The TSBs actually give really clear instructions and even the part numbers.

Main problem on the early 13s is the window index. The first production run had switches programmed for 20 mm drop. That was too much and caused the the seals to roll over. Newer switches only drop the windows 10 mm.
