Aftermarket Exhaust Kit

Hello again need some help picking a Exhaust kit to put on my 86 when I purchase it was just wondering if any of you guys have a custom exhaust kit on your cars and what would be best for me as I really don't know to much about cars I'm looking for a kit that makes it sound really loud and deadly if that makes sense. At the same time though I don't want to be out of pocket a fortune the most I'm willing to pay is probably around 1600$ Aus if I need to go higher I will as I don't want something cheap and flimsy either if you guys know of anything and could possibly post a website that ships to Australia and a video of what it sounds like it would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

If you want loud you're going to have to get a system that deletes the resonators and cats aka go straight pipe and if you want quality you're probably going to have to fork out more money.

Videos of exhaust systems don't do it justice you have to hear them in person to get the full experience.

Some people say the invidia n1 is loud. You can pair that with headers if you want even more volume.

I'm currently running a cat less front pipe with a muffler delete and I think it's pretty loud as well and also much less expensive than an invidia n1

Just go to a meet and listen to some in person. Or see what your local speed shop recommends/has.

From what I understand the Australian police are much more stringent on the compliance of car mods so you may want to check things out locally before going with a loud system. Loud exhaust is one of the easiest ways to attract attention and it may not go well for you.

I went custom, but reason is opposite than yours. I wanted single exit that's quiet.

If you want loud exhaust Tomei header back... I'll guarantee you, you'll be deaf in <1yr.

Ichitaka05: Sounds what i'd love to have aswell. I guess all current available single exhaust aftermarket options are loud ones and together with uncatted header might be below bearable?

I have Ace header and it does make it loud... but thinking of making custom front pipe with cat and res to reduce the rasp and loudness.

I second ButeraFRS when it comes to listening for exhaust clips in videos. They do little justice. I'm running a full catless UEL set up with the N1 catback and it's pretty damn loud. Sometimes I feel like it isn't loud but I have let a buddy of mine punch through the first few gears and it made me cringe. Cold start is kinda past ridiculous, I feel a sense of guilt every time I start my car in the morning. All in all I love the way my car sounds. I believe there's a resonator in my midpipe that's toning the loudness a bit for my car. Like Butera said, straight pipe all the way would be your best bet for loud and deadly.
