BRZ STI Lip Q
 

Does anyone have the STI Front lip and can comment on how much it reduces ground clearance. I am thinking of getting one as I like how it looks, but am concerned it will scrap on driveways etc

I am at stock ride height and have no plans to lower the car

It's about an inch.

I have it and am not lowered and can tell you with angling it isn't too hard to avoid most issues but I am a heavy guy and can say that when my trunk is loaded down or I have a passenger it is much much harder to avoid. If I could go back (which I will when the time is right) I would buy the ~100 dollar rubber extension that acts to protect the lip.

I am lowered on TRD lowering springs so about 1.5" drop and scraping is inevitable. Thing is, all the scraping occurs on the underside of the STi front underspoiler, so you never see it. The whole thing also has some flex to it since its just plastic. Really you shouldn't be worried.

You should be fine unless you never slow down for bumps, dips, inclines, etc. I'm lowered to no wheel gap at all and my front lip extends an inch or so lower and I don't scrape.

+1 - at stock ride height you will clear those stupid parking blocks and regulation curbs.

"Be careful when driving after installing this product as ground clearance at the wheel arch and center section is decreased by approximately 1 cm (0.4 inches) and 4 cm (1.6 inches) respectively"

While it's true the lip "protects" the bumper, the lip can force the lower part of the grille to disconnect if you hit it on shit too much.
