BRZ "Boomerang" Strip on one headlight does not work.
 

Hey guys. So I have done some research but was not quite able to come to a conclusion.. The "boomerang" strip as it has come to be known, or the outer ring that lights up around the edge of the headlight does not work on my right headlight. It worked for about the first 3 months of owning the car but I recently noticed this when parked in front of some glass windows.

I have checked fuses, looked for a bulb (which I could not locate, only the HID dual low/high beam bulb for the main light source) and came up with nothing. I guess what it boils down to here -- is it a relay or something I can try to replace? Ultimately I am trying to avoid taking this to the dealer or having to just replace the entire headlight assembly just for this light but yea.

sounds like potential failure. just go to the dealer. maybe get a new headlight

What did you end up doing? Mine's out on the right side too.
