2017 BRZ doesn't have starlink?
So I just got my Brz and I noticed the head unit is really basic ( just bluetooth and nav) when I look online I see others with a nice GUI and so called starlink with all the apps and stuff, what's going on?

I think Canada gets different model head units.
Plus you're not missing out. The current head unit in the BRZ doesn't even have NAV. It's pretty much the same unit in my 2016. Bluetooth sucks and it lags. I only use satellite radio anyway. |

Can you take a pic and post it? Looking specifically at your radio and dash surround. |

I still don't know what the real purpose of "Starlink" is. I used it for a day, thought it was clunky and useless.
Haven't touched it since. |

As mentioned above, the US Spec head unit and the Canadian Spec head unit are completely different.
On the other hand, I just picked up my 2017 today and during start up, the head unit does say Subaru Starlink. Layout 100% still the same as 2016 units though. |
