Changing the Horn?

Has anyone changed their horn on their FRS/BRZ? How easy/hard is it to do. Also do you guys have a recommended site/replacement horn product?

I want a deeper honk sound :party0030:

I've got Mitsuba Airbullets, but they're higher tones, not lower. 480/580Hz.

I was going to ask this question as well. I loved the horn in my Scion xD and an wondering how hard it is to replace the one in the FR-S.

Yea Id love to replace my horn with something louder. NO ONE can hear my horn on the highway.

How often are you guys using your horns? O.o

I can't say I've used the horn in a vehicle in the last three years except for letting someone know the light was green if they weren't paying attention, and I've driven many times in LA traffic.

I might not use it a lot, but when I do I want the other person to know someone is honking at them :)

Hella Supertone: 118 dB horns, ~$60 online:

(not my car, but note the bitchy little stock horns underneath)

the FRS horns are easier to access from below than above... i plan on doing mine but i'm taking the front bumper cover off to do them... hella super tones or piaa super bass horns going in...

Not familiar with upgrading horns but I had to use mine yesterday as a Benz was drifting into my lane and almost into me. I just feel my horn didn't get the job done. I like the horn in my bmw 335i. Can I swap something like that in or are there certain specs of a horn our cars only allow?

I spent $15 on some OEM Bosch twin-tone horns. Sound as good and probably as loud as the aftermarket ones costing four times as much.

How hard was install??

Geez - read this thread and occurred to me, in 6 months, I've never used the horn -- not even sure what it sounds like. Guess I spend more time in front of people than behind them.

Got them done last week. Sounds way better than the roadrunner "beep beep" horns that we had before.
