Just moved in from SoCal

Hello ladies and gents!

I just wanted to introduce myself!

My name is Justin, I just moved here from Santa Ana, CA. I've been in my FRS since July '13 and it has so far been a blast. I look forward to seeing you guys out on the road, and maybe a few meets here and there!

Here are a few shots of the ride.

Thanks! No I don't, I took those pictures at my school before I left up here. I am an A&P mechanic, and got out of the Air Force 2 years ago, doing the same thing working on F15 jet engines.

HachiRo 09-14-2016 06:33 PM

Welcome!
I give it 2 months until you utter your first "Hella"

No need! I've been saying it for years hahaha, it doesn't help that my girlfriend is from the bay either.

The true test is whether you say "the" before freeway names or not. :)

I have always said "the" before any freeway names, it sounds weird without it!

Ah another LA transplant. I'm still rocking my 562 number after all these years. Welcome to the bay area.

I remember I was craving carne asada fries within the first 3 months of moving up. Took me years, but I found a place in Fairfield that's somewhat comparable.

Hi Justin, welcome to the Bay Area!

A couple of us used to live in SoCal and one of our techs lives by Antioch.
A few of our customers are A&P mechanics and we offer a military discount.
Let us know if you need anything!

The Bay Area is a way better food scene than socal.. I'm a chef and I lived in both, lived in Ontario for 4 years. It all depends on what you like to eat too though, overall it's better, if you need a food guide hit me up I'm in hayward and my Gf and roommate are flip.

thatfilipinoguy 09-18-2016 09:46 PM

Thanks for all the hospitality guys! Much love! I hope to catch some of you on the freeways! I just might take you on with the food guide!

I'd like to hear some food suggestions in the Hayward area... I haven't found too many in the area that I am fond of...

thatfilipinoguy 09-18-2016 10:43 PM

So, I just started this Uber Delivery thing, and It's pretty cool. So far I've been to 4 different restaurants and the Crepe one I went to seemed pretty yummy. I forgot where it was at though.

haha that is what I was afraid of -- was hoping you knew some secret spots here LOL. I hate that there's nothing really around here without a lengthy drive. At least I work in the Peninsula so I get some decent grub out that way.
Yeah I live up the hill by Cal State! I see a few modded 86s from time to time around the area but you're right a lot of stock commuters too haha.

Go to Fremont. Lots of good places to eat there. I personally am a big fan of Boiling Point, CC Noodle, Mom's KBBQ. Granted all of them are asian but eh....so am I =D

Yeah I lived in Fremont until about 6 years ago and we used to go to Milpitas all the time... now it's a little too far away to go for a casual bite. Feels like all the cool spots opened up down there after we moved away haha.

Norcalft86 09-19-2016 02:29 AM

Antioch! I'm just around the way in Oakley. I'll probably see you around town.

thatfilipinoguy 09-19-2016 09:43 AM

For real, that traffic blows...even when there is none. My GPS still says its an hours worth of driving =[
