Meet Up At Ocean City?!
 

Guys, I think it's about time for a proper meet-up for both the Mid-Atlantic and the NY-PA-DE-CT-NJ group.

I say we do this in Ocean City. I don't expect anything like the AWD meet-up in OC, but I bet we have enough FRS and BRZs to fill up a small parking lot by now. Let's all discuss logistics as a group, if this is possible at all!

WHEN: August (On a weekend)
WHERE: Ocean City (TBA)
WHY: Because we are awesome
WHAT: Photoshoots, light cruise, chilling at the beach, dinner together

If we can get a large enough group, maybe we can get OC's local Scion or Subaru dealer to sponsor us some snacks, and use it as a meet-up point before driving over together to the beach for some seafood + awesome tanning action?

It might be a bit far for our WV, Richmond, NY and CT members, but OC is one heck of a vacation spot nevertheless.

Sorry for the delay.

Due to personal reasons, I am unable to follow through on this meet. Things have come up that are beyond my control so I'll be extremely busy and out of town in the coming weeks.

Let's not let this idea die though, perhaps when the weather gets a bit better? Sorry guys.

I'd consider it... hopefully its not during the week of moto gp indy (16-20 Aug). First road trip in my BRZ :)

I'm down. Let me know ahead of time and I can either get a hotel room or stay with friends in D.C. My wife will probably come along and we'll make it a short vacation.

Man it would be nice to meet some of you guys but I'm afraid if I get to close to OC, I'll want to kill myself.

Good idea. Any meet at a beach, I'm good for.

The only issue if there are a number of us, could be parking.

I was just in OC, MD lastnight before that storm came in. I stopped with my family at "Speedworld" and the boardwalk. Saw some people taking pictures, got some stares, but didn't talk to anyone. I haven't seen a single BRZ out in the wild since I got mine either.

Damn. I was there just today for a day trip. Parked outside Seacrets though, everyone was too drunk to notice it.

What I figured, there aren't too many of us with this car, we probably already get enough attention as it is, and it's not like there are tons of aftermarket parts or mods available for this car so most of us will show up in stock...so it's more like a gathering for a small group of enthusiasts, 70% "I'm on vacation and I'm on the beach" and 30% "hey, there are other cool people with my car."

Perhaps the timing is bad? Maybe we'll have more fun and more parts to show off, perhaps, a year from now?

After which we can chill, shoot some pics, then drive over to the beach and chill. How does that sound?

I'm in. It's like a 2 or 3 hour drive but its not that big of a deal.
