Anyone running Air Lift?

So, I just got the 3P system in. Trying to a plan in place before the install. I was wondering for those who are running air suspension, where do you guys have the control unit located? Trying to figure out the best and most subtle spot possible without having wires hanging out everywhere.

People use the center console between the shifter and cup holder.

What he said ^, i have my V2 controller mounted in that spot, relocated my seat warmers in the cup holder area. 3P controller will be alot bigger and it wont fit in that rectangle, i would probably have it velcro mounted somewhere or have a custom holding bracket for it

Depending on how you want it, you could probably dremel out that spot even bigger to fit the 3P controller

Looks real good & neat. Wouldn't work for me though, due having hand rest over cup holder area.

How did you run your air lines? Both driver and passenger side or just on the passenger side and have one of the lines going all the way across the engine bay to the driver side?

I ran one air line on either side of the car. I already had a 4 guage power wire for an amp on the passenger side, so if you don't have power wire, you can do both on passenger.

i ran them back 2 on each side and then then i use a union to run it into the trunk.

i figure you could run the passenger front to the driver side (or vice versa) and then run 3 lines on the driver side back, and then the passenger rear into the trunk on the passenger side, but i wouldnt know the best or safest way to run the passenger side to the driver safe, maybe along the sway bar?

I was thinking about running both the front air lines on one side (passenger side) and have the longest one go over along the across the fire wall to the driver side.

I feel like that would be a safe area. I looked at one of the older DIY's from Rally Sport Direct and that's what it looks like they did.

I already have a power wire for my sub and amp on the passenger side, but I don't think it would be an issue to run both front air lines in the same side and just run one across to reach the driver side.

ah yeah i think that would work, i was scared due to heat of the motor. be careful though, i already melted a line and it was pretty scary. driver rear melted and blew the line on the highway. that was cause of my exhaust though. the lines are rated to handle heat but i guess i was too close to the piping

I just ran each airline on each side. It might take you maybe any extra 10 minutes? All the panels just pop out of place. And I put my controller in the cubby between the push start and the USB/aux. good luck with the install, it's all cake! The only hard part is the trunk and getting it how you want.

csong30 09-19-2016 10:21 PM

I definitely appreciate all the tips you guys gave me!

Did the install all day yesterday and everything went smooth. My main issue that I had was tapping the fuse tap on Ignition 2. For some reason the in line tap that was included in the kit wouldn't allow me to start the car, but it would turn it on. Once I just wired it directly into the fuse it started up right away. I thought it was a little odd.

I would have to agree the hardest part is the trunk. But I do have a few ideas in mind. My friend decided it was best I went with a 5 gallon tank. LOL. I don't think he realizes how small our trunks are especially when you have a single 12" sub box that's big as hell.. lol. At least I got the hook up though.

Anyone know why the rears flunk every time I hit a bump? Sounds like I'm bottoming out on coils. I got the top hat nuts tightened down.
