Faux Suede Dash Trim
Does anyone know the part number for the faux-suede dash trim in the LHD 2017 Toyota 86?

That's an aftermarket one piece. The factory comes in two pieces, one to access the radio and the other for the passenger. There are some companies which sell one piece covers. Since it's an aftermarket, it's probably JDM Coachwork. An alternative would be to look on Amazon understand the search - faux suede adhesive backing. I find that spending $30 for Amazon is better and have more color selections.

I have seen the Canadian ones have a couple different versions of a one piece dash. The BRZ one looked like stitched leather or vinyl and really nice. Waiting for the part numbers to drop and replacing the silver two piece if I can.

That BRZ piece is nice! If that fits a 2014 with navigation I am doing that swap 100%
|
Why don't you get some real alcantara and it's on sale.

JPM pieces never seem to match perfectly with the stitching, and actually look cheap (in pictures) compared to the factory Subaru one piece. I have only seen one picture of the Subaru one piece dash trim (not above but same material). JMO, but at least the Subaru factory piece matches other pieces in the car. The 86 factory one piece dash looks really cheap in the pictures though. |
I dunno, the car looks less sporty with the fabric dash trim IMHO. Like it's trying to be a BRZ or luxury sports car. I'd rather have Carbon Fiber, maybe leather, rather than fabric. But to each their own.

I definitely would want the 2017 86 dash trim on my FR-S, but do you all think it's a direct swap since it's now a single piece instead of two? I want to jump on it but don't wanna go through the hassle returning it if it ends up not fitting...

No knock to you, this gave me a chuckle... "Why don't people get real fake suede, instead of fake fake suede?" Truth be told, Alcantara was engineered to be better than suede, but that was back in the 70's. The "Grand Luxe" stuff Toyota is using in the new 86 may actually be better than Alcantara since it's likely a newer product. Who knows? :) |

I can't keep the Space Invaders dash clean half the time so that stuff would look like crap in about 2 weeks!

Wonderful Canadian product. |
Is the one piece trim from the new cars available for purchase?

I run a company similar to JPM Coachworks (closing in 3 days btw) in LA. So I'm always super curious about interior stuff. Sat in a new 86 and felt the fabric on the dash, it's very similar to Alcantara, I thought it was Alcantara guess they are different and have a different name too. Interesting. That picture in the first page makes it look like it's more of suede than Alcantara. |

Hmm? What's that turn knob near handbrake, where heated seat buttons were in older models?

I'm pretty sure that is linked to the headunit. |

That is the US market two piece with a different radio. Quote:
THAT is the right one. |

I'm probably going to order the same fabric since people will start asking to match it on other pieces. Quote:

Will carbon panels fit over the suede dash on the 2017 86?

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110948 The part numbers are listed in that thread MULTIPLE places. You just search those in google and choose an online retailer or take it to a local subaru dealer. Also, if you have that head unit it fits. That is literally what the thread discussed, found part numbers for, and confirmed fitment of. |

That look a Zillion times better than then any fabric version I saw.
