?JDL Ultraquiet Frontpipe vs stock?
I'm looking to try and unlock some more pops and burbles from my exhaust (without altering my 93oct UEL tune of course). However, I don't want to raise the volume much… Will the JDL ultra quiet front pipe get me enough extra flow to create a moderately more pleasing soundtrack without waking the remaining neighbors?
(I currently have a Gruppe-S Ceramic coated UEL Header & Overpipe, stock frontpipe, stock midpipe, and a Works AB-M.) |

I went from a midpipe with only a high flow cat to the JDL quite front pipe and there isn't much of a difference in terms of volume. That small little resonator in the JDL pipe won't make much of a difference, and i feel a bit dumb for thinking it would.
Going from stock to JDL, you'll have a realistically large difference in volume, assuming the rest of your exhaust system is changed. I went from stock midpipe to JDL and the car is louder, noticeably so. I have the catted ft86 header and Ark DTS catback. It's the high flow cat that really makes the difference. |
I have Ace header, motiv test pipe and tomei 80r and my shit loud as fuck. I ordered the JDL ultra quiet front pipe and am sure it will satisfy me, I'll report back after the install and dyno tune!

Hey @Trust86, how were your results?

my previous exhaust was tomei uel and overpipe, stock front pipe and invidia n1. I have the same tomei uel, but went with the 3 inch ultra quiet over front pipe, and a perrin 3 inch resonated exhaust and that combo is definitely quieter from the invidia n1 combo.... probably will sell the perrin and get a tomei 80r...

Oh and dyno results were 182 hp and 148 tq. The torque line starts and is pretty much flat from 2600 until 6800 rpm and then it starts to fall off. Max tq being at 4000 rpm. That's with tune and on a dynojet from/at moto-east.

He’s right^
Also that front pipe is still going to be loud af with aftermarket header. Going to be extremely loud with that setup lol |

Lol I hope it's not too loud but it probably will be, 😅 |
I have the UQFP Combo Pipe paired with the JDL Catted UEL and Perrin 2.5 Resonated. I just picked up from the shop the other day, so I’ve really only driven it once, but the sound is perfect. A good subie rumble, but almost entirely silent at idle and under cruising speeds. Never gets too loud even under load. I couldn’t be happier with their product.

@Keenercarguy Did you end up buying the Ultra Quiet Frontpipe? If so, what were your results like?

Just add a resonator into the stock FP and remove the shitty stock one. Exhaust shop will charge 80$ish and another ,70-80$ for the vibrant ultra quiet resonator.

Stock mid-pipe and stock exhaust. OFT stage 2 tune. I enjoy the added cabin sound without "waking the neighbours" and the added low-mid grunt is much appreciated. :burnrubber: |
