2 weeks without :(

A high school girls in daddys Jeep backed into my car yesterday and crunched the drivers side rear quarter panel. The wrinkles reflect the sunlight in cool and unique ways :( If you're into tires you can probably even tell what kind of spare she has from the tread marks in my paint.

Happy 50th birthday to me

Sorry for your luck. Backing up in a car is a skill unmastered by many drivers. Who knew looking back or using a mirror would be so tough.

I witnessed a old lady getting bumped by a big SUV with a tiny woman driving it. I walked over and asked if she was ok, but the lady said she was fine. The driver gets out a checks for damage on her car and never says a word to the old lady. I instinctually give her a "SMH" look. I walk away and she pulls up next to me yelling at me for looking at her. I was flabbergasted.

Just remember, dumb people are everywhere. Just glad you weren't hurt in the process.

Dam that sucks. Hope her daddy's insurance will get it fixed.

Best part is I wasn't even in the car, it was parked. Nope nobody hurt just body damage. Yeah daddy's got it covered but I'm stuck with an Elantra for a few weeks :ick: Heh, thankfully we both use the same insurance company so I don't have to cover the deductible while waiting for final payment.

That woman wasn't dumb, she was a vicious, self-entitled sociopath. :paddle:

I feel like this is what the general public views as an acceptable way to park. I have had someone back up onto my front bumper and someone else side swipe the left from of my car. I get that it's a small car, but come on people.

This happened to the 13' brz I had. I often ride a motorcycle but I swear I feel more visible to other drivers while on the motorcycle compared to the BRZ.

uggh. Body shop didn't submit paperwork properly for additional work that needs to be done above the initial walk around estimate so I'm waiting at least another ten days. I want my car back...

Got it back on Tuesday. A few little details that it has to go back for, scratches, bubbles in the paint and wouldn't you know it the tail light is filled with water. They're giving me a hard time on that though and saying it's not under warranty anymore so I have to pay for it but it's on the side that got hit so they'll see what they can do. BS.

It's SOOOOO nice to get back into the car after a couple of different Hyundai rentals and my 06 Durango. It really makes you appreciate just how nice this car is to drive and travel in when you don't have it for a month.

Any pics of the repairs?

gravitylover 10-11-2016 09:07 PM

Ha actually no, I haven't taken any. Guess I should do that. I'll get some up tomorrow.
