Would you take it back?

Hi folks,
Just wanted to gauge your opinion concerning paint match-up. My Series 10 FRS was rear-ended a few weeks ago and it was fixed last week basically with a new bumper. However, when I took delivery of the car, I noticed that the paint on the bumper did not match the paint on the rest of the car body. At first I was given a lecture on how the paint appearance will always be different because of the different materials (plastic vs metal) being covered. When I was still not satisfied with that explanation, I was provided with a write-up that stated that I can bring the car in after a couple of weeks to allow the fresh paint to cure and the bumper will be repainted at no cost to me.
The question that I have is the following: Is it worth it to go through this again and probably the paint will still not match or should I just accept it as it looks right now?
Your comments are welcome.
Thanks
Pat

You make them repaint it as many times as it takes until you are satisfied.

Doesn't match, take it back.

Make them repaint it. It matched when you bought it.

It should match the factory finish perfectly. Take it back.

From what I see in the photo, the paint is WAY off.

Their statement is total BS, the factory can paint different materials the same color.

Take it back.

The different materials do make it hard to match. Make them blend it with the rear quarter panels and trunk, not just paint the bumper. only way it will look good.

They should have some sort of gun that you hold up to the paint and it provides a "formula". With that formula your paint is matched. It should look identical. I've had my bumper painted and it looks identical to the fenders.

I'd get insurance involved AND take it back or see if they'll make a claim with this shop so you can take it to another one... I'd be pissed... GL with resolution!

Usually, I'd say ...... just get over it.

However, from your picture, I'd suggest you take it back and let them make another attempt.

I had the Suby dealer replace my rear bumper cover.
They wanted the car to go to the paint place with the new cover so they could match it perfectly.
Something was wrong and the dealer said NO - Do it again.
I waited an extra 2 days for it, but it matches my GBS perfectly.
I never did see what was wrong with the first try.
Make them do it again.

I'm willing to bet your front bumper matches much closer than that. Take that back, it is WAY off in that picture.

I am usually in the "hard to be perfect and if you have to squint in the sunlight to see the difference it is fine" group but shit even in the picture it is like the difference hits you with a baseball bat. Take that thing back it is not going to change in a couple of weeks.

As stated by many. Take it back that is some amateur hour shit there that is not even close.
