Condensation in Sequential Valenti Tail Lights?
Hi Guys,
I just bought some of the newer sequential valenti tail lights. I have been reading and hearing that Valenti lights in the past have been prone to condensation or not lasting long. Does anyone have this experience with the new sequential version? and has the condensation issue been fixed? I rather buy taillights I can depend on if this is the case. I like the Buddy club lights but dont like how the bottom doesn't light up. Any advice would be nice thanks |
I've had them on a couple of months, no issues so far. They put a thicker seal around them, so if you really tighten the bolts it should keep it sealed.

I have the Valenti Revo Jewel tail lights. No issues whatsoever, very high quality piece, the gasket in the back is much thicker and high quality than OEM.
Plus I often get compliments on how nice they look. |

Oh Are the revos new versions? where did u order those from?
I ordered mine off ft86speedfactory |
I made sure to seal the gasket with 3M Black Super Weatherstrip i think its 08008, Green tube at Walmart for ~$5. Theres a DIY for it somewhere on the forums... Actually the comments group buy for the taillights has the DIY on one of the pages....

How tight did you screw it in? May have been too tight..
One other cause of condensation are due to the gaskets being too thin, get thicker gaskets. At first, I thought you were talking about the Revos (which I have), then saw you posted the pic of the Valenti style ones. No issues with the Revos that I've seen on this forum or elsewhere. |

Anyhoo, various vendors sell the Revos. 86speed (formerly fteightysix) had a group buy upon initial release, ft86speedfactory, and a couple more that I can't name off the top of my head right now. |

The Revos cost more because they have been produced in a time when things cost more with the current exchange rate climate. USD is much stronger now than it was 3-4 years ago and that means stuff from Japan costs more to produce. You won't see a price drop on them unless it's a vendor specific deal. This isn't the technology market. A lot of suppliers from Japan have raised pricing over the past year, I got an email from Intec last month that all their products have increased by 30%!
The thing about Valenti originally being expensive and then dropping to about half that is because of the factory selling supply at less than Valenti sells wholesale to resellers. Which created the crazy price difference. The revo won't have that fate as its a new manufacturer that actually has morals. |
