DIY exhaust install
My exhaust just came in. My friend & i wanna be adventurous and install it ourselves but I'm lacking some tools.
Does anyone have a few crank lifts i can borrow? More so anyone installed exhausts before and wanna help? |
Crank lifts... as in scissors jacks? Which portion of the exhaust are you replacing?

I wouldn't suggest working under your car if it is only supported by scissor jacks.
Your local Napa or O'Riley's might rent jackstands to you for the day, along with a floor jack. At a minimum you will need end wrenches for the bolts, possibly something to pry with to get the exhaust hangers off. Should be able to reuse your flange and donut gasket. If your head is starting to spin, you might want to take it to a shop. |
