Openflash FLEXFUEL OTS Tunes!

Hi guys,
We have been plugging away in getting Flexfuel kits and Flexfuel tunes out for the general masses. So far, we have only been testing them in a closed Facebook group (SBD Turbo owners group) and all has been good. But now it's time for a wider release. But first, I need a few volunteers to work with. Basically I'd like to test the OTS Flexfuel Stage 1 and Stage 2 UEL/EL maps in a handful of cars and offer free custom e-tuning to dial it in properly.

Here is what is required to be a early tester:

1) An Openflash Tablet and our XRP Flex Fuel Kit

2) Access to E85

3) Must have a naturally aspirated 6MT (USDM or nonUSDM). No 6AT FlexFuel support yet.

4) Stock airbox (any drop in filter is fine)

5) Must know how to data log so I can make tune revisions for you

After custom e-tuning this first batch of cars, we can release OTS FlexFuel tunes for everyone. Major thanks go out to ztan for developing the FlexFuel code. He put a lot of time into getting it work the way it does. It's brilliant and it works beautifully!

If you are interested in becoming an early adopter (and get free E-tuning), please email me at shiv@openflashperformance.com and write "FlexFuel Testing" in the subject line.

Cheers,
shiv

how would the flexfuel tunes work? is there anything we need to buy extra? like a new fuel pump or is it just switchable at anytime fueling up.

As noted in his post, you need the XRP Flex-Fuel System kit. So yes, there is some additional hardware required over and above just having and OFT. Probably a safer solution than just doing full tank swaps between E85 and pump gas, then flashing the appropriate tune (which makes you drive around for a few minutes, stop, flash the ECU for a few more minutes etc.)

Unless of course you are asking for how exactly it works in practice (like do you toggle the map based on fuel, or is it automatic based on fuel trims and other sensor data), then I have no idea. :)
