Might be NoCones from post #30. I passed them going out earlier as they were just arriving at the gate.
Someone from SC? in a red CS FR-S passed me along with someone trailering a CSP Miata somewhere in Kentucky on my way up. Obviously a lot of twins here already. |

Congratz to Dave, holding down the first non-ND spot. Those new Miatas must be beasts!
|
all was fine and dandy in the autox world untill the ND came along! but scca does have a tough decision with the ND since CS is the most popular class, and it is an overdog.
|
It looks like the ND's are faster, but I don't know if they are fast enough to get kicked out of the class.
|
STX looks brutal... That's a huge gap between the first two spots, and a couple separated by only a thousandth of a second.

What a blast. Sorry I didn't meet more of you.
Got my ass kicked (nowai) but the courses were fun and the whole event is rad. Can't wait for next year! |
Anyone meet the Canadians with the pool? They're a fun bunch of guys.

Today was crazy and really had me wishing I had picked a higher # but it could have just as easily been the opposite way with the rain starting just 10 minutes before we hit course. Although I think the ND Miata has a substantial advantage over everything else in the class right now I do think the conditions today were the best for determining a champion because we had a fast course Tuesday in the dry and then a tight course today in "drying conditions" with some standing water. You had to be able to drive in any weather this year to take the class.
Sorry I didn't get to meet everyone. This event was a bit overwhelming for me since it's my first time out here and I agreed to be a timing captain and have been sort of job shadowing all the afternoon heats. If you're still around and you see me puttering by feel free to stop me and chat. I tried to stop by everyone in grid and say good luck on Tuesday but I only made it about 20 cars in before we started rolling. Just wayyyyyy too many people in C-street this year. |
