Repair shop in LA - Clutch Throw out bearing

Hey,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a shop in LA that can replace my throw out bearing and maybe my clutch. Thanks in advance!

we have tonsssssss of good places. Doesn Evasive and CSG do things like this?

Mirageo 08-24-2016 06:54 PM

You don't even have to go to those named places lol. I'm sure you can find some mechanic shops locally for cheaper rates

Evasive will probably over charge on it. Go to them for bigger things lol

if anything try local mom and pop shops. Their rates are way lower than evasive/dealers. For this kind of job any shop should be good enough. like Decimus said, only go to evasive for bigger jobs like rebuild engines turbos or tuning etc

Copy, I've contacted evasive. I'm jus looking for a trusted shop that you guys have gone to. The Dealer is asking for 1600$ and Evasive is roughly $1000, but they're jammed with work till the 22 of next month.

I'm in DTLA, so anything within 15miles from here is ideal.

Was that for a clutch replacement and throw out bearing? Or just clutch

Actually yeah I just called a place in Glendale with 5stars and they gave me the same rate. ~ 1000 of you wanna do both clutch and bearing, or about 700 for just the bearing. They has to remove the tranny to get to it anyways haha.

we charge $500 for labor for clutch jobs. i don't see how that is over charging...

Yeah, they weren't over charging. Their labor was cheaper than most. They're just busy and a little to far right now.
