Catless header noise reduction

Hey folks,

Has anyone found a good way to minimize the amount of noise from the catless head with an exhaust?

Drive slow.

That a given my commute is filled with lots of traffic.

I'm thinking of putting a muffler on the own front pipe to bring the noise down.

Any suggestions or alternatives?

If you're still on the stock exhaust from the header back.....it won't get much quieter than it already is.

There's your problem, the n1 is insanely loud when you switch out other exhaust parts.

Should've researched more before buying the n1

N1 + catless header = bad time. You need a different catback. Stock works okay, but sounds a little farty with a catless header. I use the perrin 2.5" resonated and it's pretty reasonable.

I hate to even consider this, but I was thinking to putting the flowmaster hush power muffler on the front pipe replacing the second cat.

I have a catless header and a muffler delete. I don't see how any kind of muffler is too loud, but there's always the stock unit or you can keep the revs under 3.5k.

Or you can switch to a catted header. It's less than a 5hp difference and far more emissions-friendly. I would have done this myself if I wasn't building the car for competition, especially if noise was a concern.
