DIY strut bar?
Has anyone built their own strut bar?
seems pretty straight forward to weld one up... the only thing im not sure about is the type/strength of materials required for it to be effective. |
Yes. If your handy with a welder any thing is possible. As for metal, pretty much any 303 stainless or 6061 aircraft grade aluminum. It's not rocket sicence.

Sorry I totally missed that joke. I'm not much of an app kind of guy. I got 5 apps on my phone. Google maps, FB,Fb messenger, Simpsons tapped out, and solitar. That's it. Maybe explain the joke? |

'dude it just said you did 0-60 in 6.7s, that's better than the magazine times!' The joke was you 'datalogged' the performance and came up with an improved skidpad number based on your phones' accelerometer duct taped to the dash or with your buddy holding it 'really still'. However a phone accelerometer actually isn't a bad piece of hardware if you're looking at a quality phone, probably one of the most expensive parts of the phone outside of the screen, battery, and markup on the storage. You can pull good data from it, but mounting and calibrating is everything. |

People do that? Sounds silly as fuck. Then again..... I do question people's mental state that play a certain smart phone game app. |

And I didn't say which game app.... For all you know it could be the Kardiasin game or flappy bird. |
