hi! just got my FR-S and i plan to buy some wheels and tires for it. So far i have the Doss FF2's in mindhttps://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/06...G?v=1459736967

they are 18x9.5 +35 offset and gonna run a square set up!, so far been looking at the Nankang NS-20 Noble Sport 245/40 tires for it.Not sure if i should buy another brand on tires? if so let me know what i should buy. just worried about rubbing, will 40s rub on stock springs? i plan to get Tein Flex Z Coilovers for the car later, and im sure that would make it better once installed but for now with out coilovers, will 40s rub? or should i just find 245/35 and not worry about it, some people told me to just roll my fenders and dont want to do that, nor mess with cambers, just want to buy a set up and use with out issues. thank you!

245/40/18 is an awful idea for overal diameter, it will negatively effect your gearing. Ever considered getting good 17s and spending money on stuff that actually helps you drive the car properly? Namely suspension...

Improving suspension is not good. If others won't see what's upgraded, it's not cool, as makes bragging harder. But they will definitely notice wider tires, especially if one will install stickers and blinking light indicator arrows pointing to them to know where to look! :)

A better offset and width choice would make it problem free.

Thanks for the links ! I original wanted 245/40/17, heard it would fit well with stock suspension. Going for a square set up. Yes I want coilovers & I don't plan on dumping it. Need it to function properly on the track ... it's unfortunate that DOSS FF3 only come in that size. I don't want RPF1s everyone done that.

You can put 245's on an 8.5 or 9" wide wheel. 17x8.5 is not very common. 18x8.5 is much more common and has no problem with 245's. 17x9 +42 to +35 will fit in the front and clear the stock or lowering springs. +42 and +40 won't leave any room for alignment by camber bolt, so you'll need top hats if you want an aggressive alignment. +35 will poke in the front at stock height, so you need camber to tuck the wheel in. When you lower it, the same offset that pokes a little at stock height tucks in a little at the lowered height. Coilovers aren't an issue for clearance because they aren't as big around as separate springs.

245/40 on 17x9 is a pretty common track setup.
