Popular Package Options

I've noticed that there seem to be a few different popular packages on the 2017. It seems both popular package 1 and 3 both contain the auto dimming mirror. Does anyone here know all the differences?

Can't say I know ALL the differences, but I belive one mirror has the compass and auto-dim, and the other adds the HomeLink controls for your pushbutton garage door and other radio-controlled in-home features. On the other hand, the packages sometimes duplicate a piece of equipment when they expect you to choose one or the other package, but not both. That way you get the mirror either way. Your glossy, full-color brochure would be the best way to compare options and packages -- be sure to have a pad and pencil and a highlighter handy!

Happy choosing!

Popular Package #1: $833.00
- Auto-Dimming Mirror Compass with Homelink, Mirror Adapter, Harness
- Interior Illumination Kit: Red
- Rear Bumper Applique
- Cargo Tray
- Wheel Lock Kit (Alloy)

Popular Package #2: $833.00
- Same as Popular Package #1; Blue Interior Illumination Kit

Popular Package #3: $600.00
- Same as Popular Package #1; NO Interior Illumination Kit

$233 for the illumination kit? Ouch. I bought the OEM kit separately for ~$140 (still expensive for just two little LED modules) and installed it myself in under 30 minutes.

Was this the same for the 2016? I didnt realise there were different options. Mine came with blue interior lighting and that rearview mirror with all the options...basically Popular package #1. Didnt realise it added more money. Must have gotten it for free because my sales guy didnt even mention it and i got the car at a really good price.

Subaru.com has pdf's of several years' worth of brochures, but they don't seem to have the 2017 up yet. Anyway, here's the link to the brochure download page -- I hope it will help, and I'm glad to support your shopping trip!

PS: I looked through the 2016 brochure and was a little disappointed that it seemed a little sketchy on the equipment list. When I was looking for my 2014, the list was extremely detailed. Well, anyway, it looks like @Veloist has offered the definitive answer to your question. This forum is so great!

Engine Block Heater $ 149.95

Do you know if that include installation?
Scion was charging 400$ (parts & install) here in canada.
It's supposed to be a pain to install.

For the wheel alone but after adding the caps and other hardware more like around $400

How much was it total for you if you don't mind me asking for the wheel option?
