Bride Seats

So I'm close to purchasing some Bride Seats, only thing holding me back is having to deal with the ABS light, does anyone know how to deal with it? I been doing some research and I seen a fellow member use a resistor but I also read if any chance the resistor gets disconnected by accident the air bag might pop? Would appreciate opinions and answers please.

I don't see the relation between seats and the ABS light. I think you are thinking of the airbag light. using a resistor is fine. it's a tight fit so unless you are intentionally pulling it out, it won't randomly fall out. I still recommend wrapping it fully in electrical tape though.

i can personally say since i do own bride seats that i do not have an airbag light - i did the resistor mod.

u can also buy a pre made one on various websites

on a sidenote - if u have an abs on then u messed up something.

i picked up a resistor at a local electronic store, plugged it in and never had any light or issue. been almost a year. i believe it was a 3.3 ohm 1/4 watt resistor.

i mean.. Fry's Electronics has a whole bunch of components, you can try Radio Shack if you have one near you and if they still have components but that might be hit or miss..

i bought a pack from amazon for like $5 or something. used it on my car for over a year, on a friend's car for over a year. both of us don't have any airbag light issue since.

super easy and no tools needed. just plug each end into the socket and done. we taped ours up to keep it covered and then ziptied it under the seat so it doesnt move around.
