2017 BRZ Front bumper swap

I noticed the '17 parts are up for order. Anyone planning a '17 bumper swap on their '13-16 BRZ? Bumper link below.

I'll be replacing my front bumper once the motor is back in my car, and was wondering if anyone else was going this route. I know there were some minor changes around the outer edges that may require trimming our splash guards.

What else would you have to replace with it - fog lights/fog light inserts? Would you also do without the DRLs? I like the look of the '17 bumper as well.

..if sending expenses to Italy might be not so higher from US ......

I'd be keen on it, especially since I have been thinking about replacing my bumper...

IDC about DRL, but fog lights and the correct underpanels are a requirement. Very interested in the bumper swap. Kind of waiting to see if there is an "STI" variant and for others to do the swap first, lol.

I wouldn't care about the DRL's personally. I think they're physically ugly, only really look cool during overcast days and from far away. I have the Diode Dynamics always-on to run the boomerangs as DRLs, so that'll work nicely alone.

I wouldn't imagine the overall shape changed too much to make our current lower bumper brackets not work. That and the splash guards would really be the only two pieces under the car affected by the bumper. Even if the lower bracket was changed, I'm sure the new lower bumper bracket will be bolt-on with the '17 bumper.

Judging by the diagram you may need a few of the inner bits, but probably not many.

You are correct sir. Which is why I removed the drl's by installing the JDM foglight bezels and added the always on module.

Not a fan of the new bumper cover. Looks a little softer, less chiseled, particularly from the mustache down.

Can anyone find the 2017 headlights? I've been waiting for these.

Nope, not on any parts catalogs yet from what I can see. All the '17 categories list front headlamps specifically as '13-16 MY.

Interesting to note the gauge cluster is noted as MY'15-'17. So the new one with the display doesn't seem to be available either.

Edit: Although you can select the '17- Tail Lights separately. They share the same part number as the '13-'16 Tail Lamps.
