Header Rust resistance...
Anything better than the other out there? Does ceramic coating help? Not that i'll drive my BRZ alot in the winter but it will see some snow. It is something to consider up here in Canada.
About to order an OFT+OFH3 unless there is an argument for something better out there. |
Have run OFH through two salt-filled winters, no signs of rust. I'd expect other headers made with 304SS (which is basically all of the well-known ones) would perform equally well.
Our engine bay stays pretty clean, and any water will quickly boil off the header. I hope rust won't be a problem but we all know there is no perfect steel. I imagine ceramic would help prevent it even more, but not sure if it's needed. |
OK, @phrosty addressed the question ........ let's move on ...... nothing else to see here .......

Just to further @phrosty point...
While the ceramic coating will not eliminate corrosion entirely, it will be effective at reducing the amount of corrosion that takes place, and it will take longer to happen. |
