HID Kit questions for Galant ES 09

Howdy everyone! :)

I've been using Sylvania bulb for long times and I kinda got tired of yellow-ish color of bulb, and was thinking about tuning it up! (with 6k color) :D

This is my first time getting HID KIT for my car - Galant ES 2009, so I was hoping that you guys could help me out. Is there any good HID kit brand that you guys would recommend? I bought one from Kensun on amazon cuz of its high rep+reviews but after I received those I was disappointed of boxing and one of its bulb has crack on it.

As if I want to buy 55W version of hid kit (instead of 35v) Do I need relay wiring too?

This is all for now!

Yes. Other wise you'll melt some wires. And have issues. Don't ghetto rig your headlights.

My bro bought that brand hids for his RSX, they came out really nice. Super bright. Great for the price. Sucks yours got damaged. Amazon pretty good with returns so I say try them again.

go with OPT7...you can find them on ebay...you can either get their various HID kits or LED kits

cool, thanks for heads up about Relay.

About your brother's car, did he use the same ballast that it came with package or ordered it separately?

Yeah it came with new ballasts. The reason he got the whole kit was the same reason your trying to cheap out on. The previous owner had mixed and match brands and ghetto rigged it. It always had problems turning on. One head light would turn on, so you have to turn it on/off for both to turn on.

Oh I see now.

well I ordered new set of kensun again and this time whole package was damaged. :mad0260: (didnt use next day delivery option just to avoid this but still happened.... Super pissed):suicide:

So I ordered OPT7-Canbus : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and recieved those today, I must say it tho packaging box was so good that I wanted to hug it lol.:D
But there is one problem I have now. I installed everything (Kit-Harness-Capacitors) as it was guided on paper but my relay box is shaking, making buzz noise when lights are off which its set to DRL (Daytime Running Lights). Whenever I turn this on, the shaking stop. Anyone know what do I need to do?:bonk:

Buzzing could be caused by the capacitor being on the wrong side of the circuit, usually. Check to make sure it goes between the relay wiring and the OEM connector, not the ballast and battery.

Also, see if OPT7 has anything about troubleshooting their HID kits. I remember they usually provided a little booklet with different troubleshooting techniques.

az OEM connector, you mean ballast power polarity connection? or OEM headlight plug? Cuz based on this booklet they gave me : http://i.imgur.com/5wT4ClY.png

I put capacitor between ballast and relay: http://i.imgur.com/KLZsp7l.jpg

if there is something wrong, I would appreciate if you let me know.

well in this case based on their diagram for their kit it should go between the HID ballast power polarity connection and the HID ballast

does the buzzing sound come from both ballasts? also do you hear this buzzing sound when turning on the lights with the car off?

It's not from ballast actually, sounds coming from relay fuse black box.
When the car is off no buzzing at all same as when I turn the lights on. When I turn the car on and my light set to off its buzzing until I turned them on and it'll go away.
