2017 BRZ vs 2015 BRZ calibration
 

Hey guys,
Does anyone know if they made any changes to the 2017 car to take out the torque dip or increase power? Wondering if the 5hp was purely from lower friction or also from some calibration changes?
Is it possible to flash a 2017 cal onto our older cars?

I read one article mentioning a revised intake manifold, revised cams, etc. Not sure how much truth there is to any of that though. To get rid of the torque dip you really need a different exhaust manifold and a tune, a tune alone won't do it.

Due to the other hardware changes its unlikely a calibration will be compatible, just like the issues with pre/post MY15 models.

There is also a revised exhaust manifold on the new version. Look up the dealer info pdf on the BRZ part of the forum, loads of info there.
