So Cal Sayin Hi

Hey guys!

I just picked up a 2014 Satin White BRZ on 8/6. 20k miles 6MT. My previous car was a 2006 Civic SI, and this thing feels like a rocket ship! (maybe because I am an old man)

An interesting note: My first car was a 1983 Corolla SR5 hatchback. Drove it in HS and tracked. So it's interesting to have the new rendition of the car.

The SD card was removed at some point so the used car dealer gave me 550 off the price (Subaru dealer was charging 515+ for a replacement.) I ended up going with the AVH-4200NEX with backup cam to replace the audio, had a system in my civic, and no plans to build a SQ car. Been there, done that.

2016-18 plans:

Motor:
E85 FlexFuel
Injector Upgrade (Supercharger Prep/Flexfuel)
Clutch Upgrade (Supercharger Prep)
Skunk2 Headers (Supercharger Prep)
Break system upgrade - Still looking into, no need to go fast if I can't stop
Kraftworks Supercharger
ECUTek - Packaged with Kraftworks

Aero:
Rims/Tiers to for fitment but no hella stance (Still want to weekend track)

Suspension:
Cant decide, depends on rims/tiers

Anyways, above are some long terms goals. Just wanted to say hi. I am in the Claremont area so feel free to say hi!

Welcome to the forums! Was it coincidence you bought the car on 86 day?

Glad to hear another local is on here. Since you have e85 plans then I'm sure I'll be seeing you at the arco propel pump in Claremont sooner or later.

Congrats on the car, have fun with the car as much as possible before you make that forced induction jump (I'm hoping to go supercharged next year myself)! :)

I work at the Claremont Colleges so that Arco is right next to my office. And honestly I didn't think anything of 86 day until I got the car and got on the forums to see the meet going on in Fontana.

Thanks! It's a 2 year plan. I hope to make it but with little kids and a family it will be a $$$ juggle. Love how my 2 year old says "Daddy got a race car!". My wife's side are drag racers. Chevy family so I get looked at funny.
