who needs power steering anyway? Racecar lyfe.

NyC Zn6 08-04-2016 04:22 PM

Basically taken from the article: Models built between April 2012 and March 2015 - which nearly encompasses its entire life span - are at risk of losing power steering due to a faulty wire harness.

The fix requires the fitting of a new power steering electronic control unit and wire harness.

Toyota expects parts to arrive at the end of September in which time the brand will notify affected customers by mail and advise them to book a time to take it to their local dealer.

The fix will be carried out at no cost and will take about one hour.

Just gonna keep this ready for the next few weeks:

"The recall impacts right-hand drive vehicles that are equipped with driver’s knee airbags."

And for those that still will not believe they are not impacted:

Are you in Australia, New Zealand or elsewhere with RHD and knee airbags?

If yes stick to straight roads until September. If no you may turn all you wish.

Say this out loud while sitting in the passenger seat of your car...

"Good Eye Might"

Congrats, you now qualify for the recall. Drive over to Australia and get your new power steering.
