P0352
 

Guys, I'm not doing so good. Got P0352 and replaced the Ignition coil on the Cylinder closest to firewall or furthest from front bumper and to the right if standing in front of your vehicle. Couldn't make the code turn on for about a month. On an on ramp in 2nd gear at about 5,300RPM WOT it comes on. I'm going to replace the coil closest to the front bumper on the right side if standing in front of your vehicle as there seems to be some controversy on which Cylinder P0352 is associated with (I've read every thread on P0352). I'm hoping I replaced the wrong coil the first time and this will fix it. I'm out of warranty, what do I do if this doesn't work and the CEL keeps coming on? Thank you

pull the coils and ohm them out and check for resistance? try to isolate the problem coil using freeze frame data on an obd2 scan tool. there should be some data in the scan tool to determine which coil went out. if it turns out that it isnt any of the coils it could be the fuel injection computer (pcm) but I am sure it is just a faulty coil. keep testing each coil and tell us what you find then we can take the next step in diagnosing it.

I could be wrong but the P0352code should refer to cylinder 2 based on the "2" in the dtc. idk on our engines the firing order or which one is cylinder 2 (passenger rear, driver fron etc) but once you determine which one is cyl 2 i would test that coil. let me know if i can help you further man. good luck

That's the confusion the CEL changes based on cylinder ending in 1/2/3/4 depending on what's failing, I believe I may have replaced the wrong one as well.

The repair manual orders the cylinders based on distance from the transmission. The front most cylinder is #1, then #2 is next on the other side. I believe the Right-Front of the car (from the drivers seat) is cylinder #1.

I believe OP also replaced the wrong coilpack.

Ahh ok so then you mean cyl 2 should be the front passenger side then? yeah a misfire is never fun to diagnose but i am here to help as much as i can! gl guys

That depends on whether the car is right or left hand drive.
