Lip
1 Attachment(s)
So today I installed a lip on my FRS... The fitment is okish but there are small gaps between the bumper and the lip on the inside of the fangs..
Any suggestions to fixing this issue? I was thinking about heat gun and some rivets.. Not sure to be honest. Here's a picture after a wash. Tbh looks mint from afar and most people won't notice but as the owner.. Duh I notice. It's just like SLIGHTLY off on the left fang. Looks pretty good but again, the OCD is kicking in. Btw the gap is the corner between the flat middle of the bumper and the fang. The elbow part. You can't see that gap at all really in the picture.

Is everything else lined up properly? There are about tree fitty or more companies that make these replica lips. Especially with the material, you can't exactly expect perfect fitment. Even with that slight gap, other than OCD, nothing should be affected. Not much of an aero piece of anything haha.
Tbh with that lip specifically, you'll probably end up breaking it unfortunately in the first year.. It lowers the front end a lot :/ |

Search or google it @mattaubel as not sure where I read it. Was the Bayson one I think where it was mentioned. |

I am going to keep a spare bumper handy for the track :D |

And, if damaged just buy another one. |

Solved my gap issues! Used some rivets to hold it closer and then used black latex window sealant in the 2mm gap. Looks molded now! Super flush. With a full bumper/lip wrap it will be mint.. pics coming soon :)) |
