Good Price for used BRZ?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking at a 2014 WRB Limited Subaru BRZ, 32K miles, clean carfax. Manual Transmission. I'm in Texas.

The dealership "certified" the vehicle, meaning it now has a powertrain (engine and transmission) $0 deductible warranty until January 2021. But I also get a 1.5% interest rate on the loan.

The best price they're willing to give me is $19,700, or $21,300 Out the Door (with Tax, Title, and License).

What do you think of this deal?
Thanks in advance for the insight!

Get a 2016 manual gti out the door for 23,000. I had a 2015 brz and traded it.

It's not bad for sure, but they can probably do a bit better. 32k miles is nothing to sneeze at.

Edit: which dealership?

I think that price is good - does it look mod-free ? See if they can take off another $500 and call it a day.

Compare to other vehicles around your area (Auto trader is a good place to look). What is a good price in Houston my totally suck elsewhere or vice versa. The prices are very regional and not comparable across the country.

Thanks for the insight guys, I guess I'm just trying to make sure I'm not getting a bad deal or paying too much. I doubt I can sit and negotiate to the bottom of the barrel

No need to negotiate to the bottom of the barrel just to the level in the barrel where you are comfortable.
No matter what you pay you will find people that paid less. Don't worry about what they paid since there will also be a pile that paid more. Circumstances vary.

21,300 out the door is kind of high IMO. Most of the time the certified warranty is not a "real" warranty (check paperwork over) and you're getting close to the 36K Subaru warranty end.

A 2014 with high(er) miles like that should be in the higher 18's on a dealer lot. You should be able to negotiate a bit for this vehicle if you decide on it.

A 10 second search for BRZs shows there are not many around the area. 15s with about the same mileage are going for $20K(ish) though so a 13 should be a bit lower.

Then there is this very optimistic dealer:

Well, that's an STI turbo though.

Not convinced the AWD is worth that mark up.

True, the drift mode isn't as good as the focus RS's.
