This may sound dumb but NOS...

So I got to wondering today about the possibilities of putting a small shot of NOS in these cars and if it's safe/worth it to have that small push of power. Has anyone here done it? If so please shed some light on my ever changing and busy mind. Thanks in advance!

NOS is a brand.

Nitrous is what you use.

You will blow your manifold and the floor will pop out if your car.

Fair enough I just see a lot of guys use nitrous for those bursts to out run someone on the highways and crap like that.

if you really want just a little extra oomph in some situations you should look at the electronic supercharger. It makes some decent boost at low RPM so your low-end torque gets a serious bump. It can't flow enough air to maintain much boost in the upper rev-range, but the car needs less help up there anyway. My understanding is that there's two ways to install it, one is with a simple throttle switch similar to a nitrous setup, the other is with a full controller that provides control of the blower and allows it to be mapped relative to engine load/throttle position. Most owners describe it as a nitrous shot that doesn't need to be refilled.
May be exactly what you are looking for without the danger and consumable costs associated with "NAWZ"
