Dent on Bodyline
 

I bought my car early this year with a dent on the rear quarter panel.

I am not very annoyed with it but it is constantly in the back of my mind. $120 excl. GST to fix.

It is hardly noticeable but is the only flaw on the car body. After half a year I am still undecided if I should fix it.

P.S. Yes curb rash on the wheels from first month of owning it. Am eyeing for people to part with their old OEM wheels.

This totally depends on how much you care and how much $120 is to you.

I'd say screw it because it's not the last dent the car will get, but I'm poor.

Get it fixed. I had a very small dent on my door panel for a few months, car never felt perfect to me knowing there was a dent. I got 2 more in the same area and then I got it fixed right away.

You'll enjoy your car more knowing its not dented.

I have been temped to pick up a basic PDR kit so I can take care of small stuff like that on my own. Dents on a crease can be tricky but if I had that one it would be just about the perfect one to try my hand at.
A basic kit is not all that much money and think how popular you could become at meets!

I already attract enough guys with the car, don't need meets for that!

I vowed not to touch my car again when it relates to dents and scratches. Tried to fix a stone chip and ended up having to respray the bumper.

You are bugged about it enough to make a thread. It costs nothing to fix. Math lesson over.

I would fix it - very easily done with PDR in an accessible area via peeling back the liner in the wheel well. It would look like it was never there.

It's fairly minor - honestly if you're that concerned about paying to have it fixed, this one might be easy enough to attempt on your own after watching a few DIY PDR videos.

Well, Ratez, I WAS going to suggest you move the fender lining back and pop the dent out with your thumb. But, with your implied history of bodywork, you would likely end up going with a block of wood and a ball-peen hammer ........ :eyebulge:

Oh, heck just have the PDR person fix it.

Heat it up and bang it with an auto body dolly edge. If you're brave.

I did everything accordingly until the part where I used 2000 grit sandpaper on it.

Wetsanded the clear coat off :(.

Yeah I'll just get the PDR guy to fix it and be done with it. Was going to see if more dents come by as theres a decent % off after the first dent fix.

Yep, after my car's first little dent (by mrs humfrz) and the second dent (by one of my granddaughters), I was going to wait for the third dent before I took it to the PDR for a quantity discount. Shortly after, the third dent happened (by me); they all happened while the car was in my garage.

That's been over 3 years ago ....... now, I don't even "see" them any more ..... ;)
