Tinting in Calgary
 

Was looking to get some word-of-mouth general impression of where to get good quality and worry-free tinting done in Calgary.

The concept to go back to my dealer to get it done such that if they mess up they would mostly warranty, but I imagine I might be able to get potentially better price or even better quality somewhere else.

So Calgary peeps, what you guys got to say?

Shadowtint on macleod is the king of the store set.

There's a few local guys who do it out of their houses - I had my xpel put on by a guy down in copperfield. (Travis @ Car Cosmetix)

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but who did you end up going with? And did you get your driver side and passenger side windows tinted?
I want to do that but I'm not sure what you can get away with in Calgary.

I went with Calgary auto spa, great peeps there , very satisfied with the job.
I have all 7 of my windows tired at 28% percent, you can just see the driver and passenger during day time ..
I have driven by and next to cops , they haven't bothered me yet.. As long as they can see how many people are in the car Calgary cops are pretty chill.

One word of caution though, you will see two streaks on your driver and passenger window , this is caused because of the super tight fitment of the window rollers.. There is nothing you can do about it .

So I'm guessing if I go for 35% all around, it shouldn't be a problem?
How much did they charge you for all windows?

I Work there and I got it done in house! Great Pricing and very good to work with you! If you tell them i sent you they will be willing to give a little discount i believe!

I honesty can't remember , I think it was around 250

I contacted Shadow Tinting and the said 299 for standard film with 3 year warranty, or 349 for the premium film with lifetime warranty. What kind of warranty does Calgary Auto Spa have?

Whenever we tint we always do life time warranty and I think 7 windows is 350$ and we are supplied by the same distributor as shadow tint.
