What is your reason for sale? And why is it incomplete if you don't mind me asking

Kengo 07-26-2016 03:51 PM

Plan was to finish the kit but I ended up with a P&L kit instead. I'm not completely sure on the history of the kit since I'm not the original owner. Sorry

So what you are saying is that I would be smarter to buy a CX turbo kit off a new Ebay seller...

Interesting, GLWS.

Well, if you know the basic of turbo and how it works you wouldn't have to say that but I'm assuming you don't. The turbo is in great condition with no shaft play and all the piping is there beside the turbo manifold. It doesn't take a genius to finish it.

@Kengo

:bonk:

..... how hard could it be?? Surely someone could make a complete kit and be happy with it. I just happen to come across this on facebook for those who are interested. I'm willing to bet that with a little Due diligence this could be a really good setup.

Have you ever seen this particular turbocharger correctly spool?

Shaft play is relatively easy to identify. Please do not go about asking every turbo seller to "watch their turbos spool correctly" to ensure they work.

I'm going to quote this for hilarity.

So what's the going rate for a used turbo of entirely dubious origin and functionality? I'll bid at least a thousand... Lira.

The turbo is a garrett. The origin can be assumed to be, well, garrett. Functionality? Let's go over this one more time. Go find a used turbo, any used turbo, whether it be on craigslist, facebook pages, forums, ebay, etc. Nowhere will you find a seller posting a VIDEO of the turbo spinning. They will tell you shaft play or no shaft play. To any intelligent person or even someone well-read on turbos, that should be enough.

Don't want the turbo? Fine. But you seem like a d*ck continuing to put the sale down.

I asked if the seller has ever even seen this turbo work. He hasn't, but he is selling it in "great condition" as opposed to "as-is."

Wanna buy my Tiger Rock? It keeps them Tigers away, great condition too.

If you are potentially willing to part with the turbo alone, please PM me.
